It will be necessary to add an accompanying letter stating whether you would like your gift to be for the support of Julian and Caroline or to help with the Joseph Project (feeding programme/orphans programme). If you are a taxpayer it would be greatly appreciated if you would enquire about Gift Aid.
The Inland Revenue seem to be happy with something along the lines of – "I enclose a gift to the general fund of [Gloucester Community Church] OR [The George Müller Charitable Trust]. While I acknowledge that the Trustees cannot be placed under any legal or moral obligation as to how the general fund is used, I should be grateful if they would consider making a gift to..."
There is no need to have separate cheques/standing orders for the Lotts and the Joseph Project.
One cheque is, in fact, easier although the covering letter does need to be clear as to whom GCC/GMCT are being requested to credit with what amounts represented by the gift.
